Certified with the Samudra Global School of Living Yoga, founded by Shiva Rea, Chelsea is a Prana Vinyasa yoga teacher. With over 500 hours of registered training and 1,000+ hours of teaching experience, Chelsea is a dedicated practitioner on the yogic path to healing. She first connected with yoga through the practice of mindful breath-work as a way to calm her overactive, anxiety-ridden nervous system. This quickly led to a full love immersion with yoga in all facets of her life. After experiencing psychological healing through yoga, Chelsea decided to become certified to share this gift with others. Her classes focus on breath as a gateway to presence, deeper integration of mind with body through creative soundscapes, and intelligently guided sequences to create harmony. She has been teaching since 2012.
After living in Steamboat Springs, CO as a yoga and ski instructor, Chelsea decided to move to the high desert of Santa Fe, NM to fulfill her dream of becoming an Art Therapist. Currently in graduate school, she can either be found on her yoga mat, creating art, or adventuring outdoors with her pup. Due to her psychotherapy training, Chelsea’s yoga classes are trauma informed and aim to integrate psychological healing through movement mediation.
Chelsea received a B.F.A. with a concentration in Photo Image Making from Colorado State University in 2013. An artist to multiple art mediums, she is fascinated by studying the relationship of human perception throughout the camera lens.
A child of the new renaissance age, Chelsea is constantly exploring new pathways for guiding other's in their healing process. Most recently, she is working towards becoming an Ayurveda Lifestyle Consultant so she may better serve her clients through this holistic framework.
